Pathways to Prosperity
Empowering Migrants and Building Futures in Swansea
Pathways to Prosperity made a transformative impact on the lives of migrants in Swansea by providing them with the support, skills, and opportunities they needed to pursue meaningful employment and entrepreneurship. The project bridged the gap in specialised support by addressing the unique challenges migrants face and fostering their confidence, resilience, and well-being.
What We Achieved
Meeting Basic Needs: We provided essential food parcels, discretionary stipends, and housing support to help beneficiaries overcome immediate challenges.
Breaking Language Barriers: Partnering with EYST, we ensured participants could access ESOL lessons to improve their English proficiency, opening doors to employment.
Tailored Employability Support: From CV writing and interview preparation to industry-specific training, digital literacy, and green skills development, our comprehensive approach equipped participants with the tools for success.
Encouraging Entrepreneurship: We helped beneficiaries explore and develop business ideas, guiding them through planning, marketing, and accessing finance.
Fostering Community and Well-Being: Through weekly wellness activities like yoga, Zumba, and nature walks, we combated isolation and boosted morale, while monthly employment events connected participants with local employers.
Real-World Experience: 30 volunteering opportunities provided participants with hands-on experience, building confidence and enhancing their employability.
