Ending Workplace Exploitation for Migrants

Standing Up for Fair Treatment and Dignity

Migrant workers in the UK often face workplace exploitation, feeling unable to report incidents for fear of losing their jobs or facing further mistreatment. Our project is dedicated to tackling these injustices, empowering migrant workers, promoting their rights, and fostering dignity in the workplace.

What We’re Achieving

  • Empowering Migrants and Refugees: Through education and awareness initiatives led by our Migration and Employment Support Officer, we’re providing one-to-one case support for individuals both in work and seeking opportunities.

    • Community outreach and group sessions give migrants the knowledge and tools to navigate challenges.

    • Practical assistance from our HR and Legal team ensures beneficiaries understand their rights and access legal guidance.

  • Informed by Experience: Our Lived Experience Advisory Panel brings together individuals who’ve faced unfair workplace treatment. Their insights drive systemic change and inform our advocacy efforts, ensuring new voices are heard and included.

  • Building Inclusive Workplaces: We work with employers to create equitable environments through tailored EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) support. Topics include fair wages, equity, anti-discrimination policies, and fostering inclusive practices.

  • Strengthening Communities:

    • We empower community leaders to act as champions within their networks.

    • Our public awareness campaigns promote fair treatment, equality, and language inclusivity.

    • An online resource hub provides refugees and asylum seekers with updated guidance and tools.

  • Well-being and Advocacy:A focus on well-being fosters a sense of belonging and self-worth.Advocacy efforts target policymakers, aiming for stronger regulations and protections for migrants, while collaboration with stakeholders strengthens our impact.

Our Vision

This project is about creating lasting change—ensuring that migrant workers have access to fair treatment, legal protections, and inclusive workplace practices. By addressing inequities and building support networks, we’re working towards a future where every worker can feel valued and secure.
